Microsoft’s recent announcement that it will not be supporting Flash on the mobile (or Metro) version of Internet Explorer that comes with Windows 8 should have set some alarm bells ringing with chief technology officers across the industry.

Almost 100 per cent of online gambling’s desktop content is developed in Flash but the rise of mobiles and tablets is a whole new ball game and requires a whole new technology.
