Dutch coalition pledges to modernise gambling policy

Two of the Netherlands’ largest political parties agreed Monday to form a coalition government which will seek to privatise Holland Casinos and licence online gambling operators.

The Labour Party (Partij van de Arbeid, PvdA) and the Liberals (Volkspartij voor Vrijheid en Democratie, VVD) announced Monday that after 47 days of talks, they have agreed to form a coalition government where opposing ideologies would work together to shape the future of the Netherlands.
