Malta-licensed online casino LeoVegas has become the latest operator to launch on Playtech’s Open Platform (POP), allowing it to roll out a range of the provider’s games.
Described by Playtech as a “key strategic client win,” LeoVegas joins the likes of bet365, Gala Coral and Ladbrokes in using the POP solution, with a number of other UK and international operators also said to be finalising agreements to launch on the platform.
LeoVegas will initially roll out eight desktop and five mobile titles provided by Playtech’s Ash Gaming subsidiary, such as Heart of the Jungle, Bounty and the Beanstalk and Wild Gambler.
LeoVegas chief executive Johan Styren commented. “LeoVegas is all about leading the way into the mobile future.
“Integrating the Playtech Open Platform further accelerates our momentum and adds great value to our consumer promise of always delivering the best gaming experience. I have no doubt that our loyal LeoVegas.com players will love the new mobile games on offer.”
“The last 12 months has been the most successful for POP and news of LeoVegas and further large-scale licensees joining us on the industry’s most dynamic and accessible open platform is great news,” Playtech’s vice president of sales Steve Schrier said.
“We have big plans for the platform and our content in 2015, particularly with our mobile-first, omni-channel approach and across expanding markets such as Scandinavia, and we are confident the next 12 months will be even bigger and better than the last,” Schrier added.
The POP solution gives licensees a one-time integration and access to more than 500 in-house and premium branded games, as well as content from more than 20 third-party providers.
The platform is designed with a mobile-first approach, and currently offers more than 70 mobile games. The supplier plans to double the portfolio, as well as launching dual HTML5 delivery with desktop support in the second half of the year.
