Demonstrating the value of the betting industry to the British economy, UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has commissioned a new report conducted by Deloitte which shows that in 2008 betting was directly responsible for £3 billion in gross value added terms and £6 billion through the industry's links with other sectors in the supply chain.
