Gala Coral finally sold off its portfolio of bingo halls but there was no way it was going to sell its online offering, which has roared back to form.

The 10-year supply deal signed with Playtech in 2011 has worked wonders, with revenue for the company’s 2015 financial year jumping 20 per cent to £92m. The company is also performing admirably on mobile, with 50 per cent of Gala Bingo stakes coming through the channel, leaving bingo ripe to take advantage of omni-channel solutions, following the successful roll-out with Coral.

With exclusive content rolled out via deals with a range of partners such as Odobo, Rewards4Racing and its own CR Gaming studio, the operator is developing a range of side games to offer a broad selection of content to complement the bingo product. Once its merger with Ladbrokes is completed, Gala Coral’s bingo offering will undoubtedly continue to stand out as one of the leading lights of the combined entity’s online arm.
