LeoVegas has outstripped all other operators in terms of growth over the past year, with revenue up well over 100 per cent. It has beaten its peers hands down.

The company’s focus on mobile has paid off and it has continually stolen customers from its competitors – even established and well-run rivals such as the Swedish market leaders Unibet and Betsson.

In terms of revenue, the operator has almost caught up with Mr Green and is closing in fast on the big two. It has continually expanded and improved the content it offers through partnerships with leading suppliers, and its growing stature was shown by Playtech proudly announcing it as a new partner, even though it was little more than a standard games supply deal. It was surely a sign of how far the operator has come that a supplier working with industry giants such as bet365, William Hill, Ladbrokes and Gala Coral believed the LeoVegas deal was a “key strategic client win”.

This is a ringing endorsement of how quickly the operator has evolved into a major player in the industry, making it a more-than-deserving winner of the best casino operator trophy.
