Toronto-listed supplier NYX Gaming Group has expanded into the Italian retail sector through licensing agreements with local operator FM Gaming and technology supplier PSM Gaming.

The deal sees NYX’s desktop and mobile casino games adapted for amusement with prizes (AWP) machines, the largest segment of the land-based machine gaming market in Europe with over 350,000 machines in operation.

Omni-channel variants of popular online titles such as Sky Winners and Holly Madison have already gone live and are available to customers in gaming venues across Italy.

The supplier’s land-based launch follows its entry to the Italian online gaming market in 2013.

NYX regional manager for Southern Europe Andrea Guzzon described the launch as a “key milestone” in his company’s strategy for the Italian market.

“I’m delighted to announce that NYX games are now available in our games portfolio on Italian Comma 6a machines, and up and running over our new PSM G640S Hardware, that will ensure top level performance,” FM Gaming managing director Fabio Castaldo added.

“I’m confident that players will be amazed and engaged with the quality of the NYX games and their future content releases which we plan to integrate."

Shares in NYX Gaming Group Ltd (Co.Data) (TSX:NYX) closed in Toronto Tuesday down 1.79 per cent at CAD$1.65 per share.
