Chicago-based sports data provider STATS has agreed a deal to combine its business with DAZN Group’s Perform to create a new global sports technology platform.
The deal has been enabled through an investment by US private equity firm Vista Equity Partners, which has acquired a majority stake in Perform from DAZN.
The transaction will see US-based STATS and Europe-based Perform combine their expertise in artificial intelligence and historical sports data archives to generate machine learning predictions to improve team performance [...]
