Daily fantasy sports (DFS) operator StarPick has unveiled its dedicated fantasy cricket offering for UK customers alongside a shirt sponsorship deal with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.

Described by the company as the industry's first comprehensive DFS offering focused on cricket, the game is already live in India following its launch on Scout Gaming Group's platform earlier this year.

The company said the Indian launch was a "phenomenal success" with 650,000 users acquired in the first 90 days, and now hopes to emulate that success in the UK by offering prizes of more than £1m to its first winners.

To raise awareness of its product among cricket fans, StarPick has also agreed a three-year sponsorship deal with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club (GCCC), which will feature the company's logo on team kit.

GCCC's Brightside Ground in Bristol will also prominently display StarPick branding.

Will Brown, Gloucestershire County Cricket Club CEO, commented: "We're thrilled to have StarPick join us as our main team sponsor. The world of fantasy cricket has gone from strength-to-strength recently, and we hope that through our partnership we can bring that enjoyment to the UK."

StarPick co-founder Rohit Nair added: "We're very proud to be the new sponsor of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, and look forward to a very exciting season ahead.

"Our fantasy cricket platform has been very well received by cricket fans in India, and we're confident that we can replicate that success in the in the UK by giving cricket fanatics the chance to build their own fantasy team and engage with likeminded supporters," he added.

To support its UK roll-out, StarPick has also signed up England international Eoin Morgan, Indian internationals Dinesh Karthik and Rohit Sharma, as well as former Gloucestershire player and South African international Jonty Rhodes as brand ambassadors.
