Whilst Italian online gaming turnover in August was still in the summer doldrums,  details were released for the performance of the first two years of online poker revealing that over four and a half billion euro has been spent on the virtual tables since the stuttering launch back in September 2008. Furthermore, a breakdown of August’s figures show that online market leader Microgame has once again lost ground to its competitors with Lottomatica continuing to hold on to top spot in the sports betting rankings and PokerStars inching ever nearer to taking the largest share of Italy’s poker spend.
