Flutter Entertainment-owned FanDuel Group has opened its first retail sportsbook in Iowa in partnership with Boyd Gaming.
The FanDuel Sportsbook, the first in the Midwest region, opened to the public Thursday at Boyd Gaming’s Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood.
Football Hall of Famer and Minnesota sporting legend John Randle placed the ceremonial first bet as part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony - a Moneyline wager on the Twins for $93 (Randle’s former number).
