London-listed financial spread betting and CFD provider IG Group has appointed Peter Hetherington as the company’s new chief executive.
Hetherington assumed the role of interim CEO at the company’s Annual General Meeting in October, following the retirement of long-term incumbent Tim Howkins.
Hetherington was previously chief operating officer for IG, and has been a member of the company’s board since 2002.
