London-listed gaming operator Ladbrokes has revealed a strong performance in the first half to the year, with operating profit ahead of expectations following a run of positive sporting results.

Revenue climbed 12 per cent to £661.8m (including high rollers) in the first six months of the year, driven by the continued growth of its digital offering, which contributed nearly a quarter of total revenue with 41 per cent year-on-year growth to £158.1m.
