London-listed betting and gaming operator Paddy Power Betfair has reported a 9 per cent increase in proforma revenue to £827m for the first half of 2017, despite a disappointing performance from its Online business during the second quarter.

While the company saw strong growth in the first quarter, driven by more favourable Cheltenham results, revenue in Q2 was affected by the absence of a major football tournament and adverse sports results.
