The Swedish government has introduced new rules to clear up a perceived lack of clarity about the country's lottery regulations, effective as of January 1st 2017.
Believing the current legislation to lack transparency, the government has moved to confirm that under Article 45 of the Swedish Lottery Act, only gaming companies owned by the state or which the state controls are eligible to operate lotteries.
