With ICE Totally Gaming fast approaching, a number of suppliers have rolled out new casino games over the past week, with slots from Yggdrasil, Magnet Gaming and Habanero joining a new skill game from GSN in going live.

Yggdrasil Gaming

The Cherry-owned games development studio has released its first slot of 2016, with fast-paced avalanche reel game Incinerator now live.

The slot features a maximum bet of €200 per spin and has a Tetris-style wild pattern feature with normal and super patterns that fill the screen. When a player gets three wins in a row, a group of symbols turn into wilds in the incinerator machine, with a super wild pattern triggered by three more wins.

“We will be launching many new games in 2016 and we’re very excited to bring Incinerator to the market,” Yggdrasil chief executive Fredrik Elmqvist commented.

“As is the case with all of our games, this is a very fast-paced slot with fantastic entertainment value,” he explained. “It has a number of different features to our other games, as we want to broaden our portfolio over the next 12 months to attract even more players.”

Scientific Games
Gaming giant Scientific Games is preparing to launch its latest casino title Hot Slot, a new omni-channel game developed by its Barcrest development studio.

Hot Slot looks to incorporate an element of strategy into the game by giving players the chance to boost their odds of winning by selecting one ‘hot slot’ which will provide a promised return to players of 100 per cent.

The user selects one of five available slots and as a countdown above the reels ticks down, the player has to decide which slot they think is running over 100 percent. They can see the wins on the other slots, but also the positions of other slots relative to one another, giving the player an insight into which slot is ‘hot’ in any given point in time.

Players will then be able to change their selected slot as they look to select the 100 per cent RTP slot by the end of the timed period.

To lessen the odds, users can play 5 spins at €10 and choose between three shots instead of five, or play 5 spins at €15 to have a fifty-fifty chance of picking the hot slot.

Genii
Genii has expanded its client base, signing a deal to supply its entire games catalogue to Malta licensee VideoSlots.

This sees the operator gain access to the Genii's portfolio of more than 130 casino games, including its unique Spin16 games which allow users to interact directly with the slot reels.

“The last few months have been really exciting for Genii and we are thrilled that VideoSlots has become our newest partner,” Genii sales director Nick Barr said. “This deal allows us to further the reach of Genii content and adds to the top quality services that VideoSlots provides.

“We’re delighted that the industry is continuing to take note of the strength of our products, and I’m sure VideoSlots’ user base will find our games exciting and different to what’s currently available in the market.”

“With such an attractive portfolio of games, It’s great to get a supplier like Genii on board. The Spin16 games should be a particular highlight for our players,” VideoSlots’ Alexander Stevendhal added.

“Making sure that we’ve got an exciting set of titles that also taps into the smart phone and tablet generation is very important to us, and Genii provide just that.”

GSN Games
Sony-owned social gaming studio GSN Games has partnered The Tetris Company to launch Tetris Burst, a new variant of the iconic computer game that allows players to win cash prizes.

Tetris Burst is the first Tetris game that allows players to compete against others in skill-based tournaments on GSN’s WorldWinner site to win real money. It sees players transported to a rainforest setting where they attempt to clear lines from the Tetris board, filling the Juice Meter with each line removed. Filling the meter unlocks three power ups, Mino Shower, Double Up and Juice Wave.

“We are continuously working to bring new Tetris experiences to fans,” Maya Rogers, president and CEO of Blue Planet Software, the sole agent for the Tetris Company, said.

“As Tetris is one of the world’s most popular games with hundreds of millions of fans, I know that both new and current players alike will be thrilled to see how they stack up against other Tetris Burst players in cash tournaments,” senior vice president and general manager of skill games at GSN Greg Canessa said. “It is an honour to be a part of the Tetris brand’s legacy and to continue the tradition of delivering new ways to play the iconic, beloved game.”

Habanero
Games developer Habanero has released Dragon’s Throne, a new 5x3 line fantasy-inspired slot that sees players do battle with the Queen of Dragons.

Players select one of four dragons then face the Queen in the game’s feature round, with wins and losses affecting the strength of the user’s beast.

Habanero believes that the game will be especially popular among casino customers well-versed in fantasy-themed console games.

“We’re very confident that Dragon’s Throne will appeal to the next generation of slots players and that its great graphics and sounds will provide them with a familiar, immersive experience,” Habanero CEO Nic Ioannoy said.

“The maths model and unique feature trigger are designed to entertain as well as provide the opportunity to win significant winnings and we expect it to be very popular.”

Magnet Gaming
The glut of candy-themed games inspired by the success of King’s Candy Crush Saga continues with Magnet Gaming the latest to release a new title.

Magnet’s Candy Kingdom sees players pick and mix candy symbols to gain the chance to enter four bonus games, with Pattern Matcher, Candy Mix, Cake Spinner and Waffle Hill all available.

A prize is triggered whenever three or more symbols line up next to one another, with a basic prize awarded for the first three and an identical prize added for each additional matching symbol.

“Everyone’s a sucker for old school sweets and we’re confident Candy Kingdom will tickle the taste buds of both operators and their players,” Magnet head of game licensing Thomas Nielsen commented.

“We always try to reach out to the widest possible demographic, and those who enjoy a sociable casino experience in particular, and we believe it will enjoy very good retention rates as a result,” he said.
