This week has seen the release of new gaming and lottery content from the likes of Inspired, Genesis Gaming, Microgaming, Commologic, Easter Island, Magnet Gaming, Pariplay, World Match, and Pollard Banknote.

Genesis Gaming

Genesis will release a new multi-level video slot game based on the famed Greek legend of the adventures of Jason and the Argonauts.

Jason's Quest combines cinematic storytelling, engaging fun, and multiple levels. The 5 reel, 25-line video slot game was designed in HTML5 for optimal play experiences on both desktop computers and mobile devices at the same time.

Multiple levels of game play are made possible by a proprietary Genesis game mechanic called Graduated Features, which allows players to unlock new features with game play over time, changing both the game play and opportunities to win. Players collect tokens in order to unlock features and increase the Return-to-Player (RTP) of the game. The tokens enable three different levels, and each subsequent level offers new features.

“Jason's Quest showcases our commitment to extending the player experience with a game,” said Geoffrey Hansen, managing director of Genesis Gaming. “In particular, we wanted to leverage the levelling up element common in the social and video games enjoyed by millennials.”

Jason’s Quest will be available in April on Quickfire and Relax platforms.

Microgaming

Microgaming has signed a licensing agreement with Universal Brand Development to develop a new slot based on Jurassic World.

Released last summer, Jurassic World tore onto cinema screens 22 years after the original Jurassic Park film. It had the second-biggest worldwide opening weekend in history and is currently the fourth-highest-grossing movie of all time.

Microgaming will create an online slot based on the blockbuster film. This is in addition to the Jurassic Park franchise deal that was announced in January 2014 and resulted in the Jurassic Park online slot that was released in August of the same year.

Meanwhile, Microgaming’s Quickfire has signed a content supply deal with Rank’s Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca brands.

Taking both desktop and mobile content, Rank will gain access to a catalogue of over 500 games, as well as content from over 20 development partners.

“Intent on upholding our position as leaders in the UK market, signing for Quickfire was a must,” said Cíara Nic Liam, head of casino and games at Rank Group. “It’s important we have the most impressive and extensive game portfolio for our astute player base, and that means bringing Microgaming’s grand collection on board.”

Tom Chamberlain, head of Quickfire at Microgaming, added: “We’re excited to be adding renowned gaming brands, Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca, to the Quickfire platform. They are staple names in the UK market, and we believe our content will be the perfect match for their players.”

Inspired

Inspired has rolled out five new HTML5 games through its Virgo RGS platform with major operators including bet365, Gala Coral and William Hill.

The fives games to go live are Rise of Anubis, The Guardians, Spirit of the Samurai, Super Hot Fruits and I ♥ Puppies.

Rise of Anubis is a Free Spins bonus game with Super Wilds which has a familiar Egyptian theme, but with an added edge. The Anubis uses his laser eyes to turn symbols wild in the bonus game and the more laser action, the higher the wins.

The Guardians features Super Stack Symbols and Inspired’s new Wonder Spins, which gives additional wild reels with each losing spin. The four Fortune Bet levels also allow players to stake up to increase the height of the scatters and gain more wins.

In Spirit of the Samurai, players can live the life of a Samurai warrior and progress their way through five levels of play, gaining Free Spins and more wins along the way. This Odyssey game enables unique episodic gameplay whereby players can save their progress and return to the same level next time. The Free Spins feature includes Stepping Stacked Wilds and a re-trigger bonus.

Super Hot Fruits is Inspired’s newest Easy Play slot game. The super Hot Spins feature is unlocked whenever the player wins 4x their stake. During the Hot Spins, four sets of reels replace the usual single base game for 4x the excitement and the chance to win big with transferring wilds.

Finally, I ♥ Puppies is the natural heir to the ever popular I ♥ Kittens game and boasts 40 win lines and a Free Spins feature which includes Stepping Stacked Wilds and a re-trigger bonus

Steve Rogers, Inspired’s chief creative officer of Digital Games, commented: “The addition of five more HTML5 games to Inspired’s fast growing mobile and online portfolio demonstrates our commitment to continually innovating and expanding our Mobile focused business.

“This is a huge area of growth and investment for Inspired; operators and players alike can look forward to the release of more exciting, market-leading games from Inspired throughout 2016.”

Pariplay

The Isle of Man-based gaming software has announced the launch of online slot Black Widow, which is based on the iconic Atari Interactive arcade game.

It follows an exclusive strategic partnership between the two companies in Q2 2014 to develop real-money online casino slots based on a series of Atari arcade games.

The new Black Widow slot developed by Pariplay’s in-house development studio is the first title to be launched under the Atari partnership.

The original Atari video arcade game Black Widow was released in 1982 and involved players manoeuvring the eponymous spider around its web while shooting various insects to win bonuses. Instead of winning bonus points and shooting beetles, mosquitoes and hornets, Pariplay’s 5-reel, 3-line Black Widow slot allows players to win real money by taking a simple spin in a sophisticated online casino setting.

The game offers players free spins and also boasts two bonus games as well as ‘Turbo Mode’ functionality, which speeds up the action for players.

The company will unveil additional Atari-branded slots later this quarter. Upcoming titles include Asteroids, Pong, and Tempest.

“It’s with great pleasure that we launch Black Widow, the first in what will be a long line of Pariplay slots combining the brand equity of Atari’s arcade games with our expertise at developing industry-leading casino games for global gaming operators,” said Gili Lisani, CEO of Pariplay. “Our Black Widow slot’s launch marks a new era for us as game developer, so it’s fitting that we unveil the title at ICE Totally Gaming, the industry’s most important annual event.”

Commologic

Commologic has signed a deal to provide Unibet with BetUP, an innovative live betting game that appeals to casual sports fans.

BetUP combines different gaming genres into a second-screen, live sports betting experience and will be available on Unibet’s desktop, mobile and tablet channels.

Tamir Berler, CEO and founder of Commologic, said: “Although sports betting is thriving, there has been very little innovation when it comes to softer, complementary products. BetUP is a fresh and innovative game that is entertaining and fun to play, while for operators it provides a new audience, high profit-margins, is risk free and extends session times and touch points.

“We’re thrilled to be launching with such a huge brand as Unibet. They see the value in offering products like this and we’re very excited about what we can achieve together.”

Erik Bäcklund, head of sportsbook at Unibet, said: “At Unibet we are very much focused on innovation and we believe that BetUP has great potential as a fan engagement tool. Both the online gaming industry and the way we consume media are changing and BetUP provides a friendly and entertaining second-screen live betting experience for casual players.

“We expect the product to be popular with existing customers, but also to act as a solid entry point for the less betting-savvy sports fans, who currently don’t bet online.”

Magnet Gaming

Magnet Gaming is set to release its latest title, takeing to the seas in search of treasure through slot tile, The Vikings – Wheels of Valhalla.

The five reel, 11 line game boasts three exciting bonus games and two progressive jackpots. Players set sail for far away shores in search of big prizes and great jackpots.

“The Vikings – Wheels of Valhalla is an obvious nod to our Scandinavian heritage, but it combines all of the modern features that make for great gameplay and a truly immersive HTML5 slot,” said Magnet Gaming’s head of game licensing, Thomas Nielsen.

“We think players are going to love playing it and operators are going to be delighted with its retention rates, which more than match those they’ve come to expect from our games.”

Easter Island

Dutch slots supplier Easter Island Studios has rolled out a new game based on the infamous Hatton Garden raid.

The London Heist, a five reel game with 30 win lines, is released a year after the perpetrators almost got away with looting £14m worth of valuables in Britain’s biggest burglary.

Peter-Paul Feenstra, studio manager at Easter Island, said: “We’ve taken a few liberties with the facts whilst capturing the elements which made it a captivating story around the world.

“The pensioners involved in the raid may have been a little long in the tooth, but the game is built in HTML5 and contains the most up-to-date graphics and features which will immerse players in a game that is so engaging it’s a crime.”

The London Heist follows the have-a-go anti-heroes down the lift-shaft and through the wall of the safety deposit company in search of other people’s valuables. Along the way players unlock generous bonuses and uncover mini-games, before trying to make their getaway with a life-changing amount of loot.

The London Heist joins five other new games with original themes and graphics in the portfolio of Easter Island, which was only founded in 2015 and is currently awaiting their UK and Alderney supplier licenses.

World Match

World Match announced the release of its most successful games in HTML5, as well as introducing an innovative solution to play its slots on APPLE TV. The supplier has also rolled out six exclusive new games.

World Match has made eleven slot games available to operators in HTML5, with another twenty to follow in the next few months.

“At World Match we believe that mobile gaming is the driving force of the gaming market and this is why we chose to offer our games in native IOS and Android technologies and in HTML5, adding further value to our game offering,” said Andrea Boratto, World Match executive director.

In order to enhance the continuity of the game experience, World Match has also developed an innovative solution that allows customers to play its slots on TV.

With plans to launch 25 new games this year, WM has this week released six new games; Egyptian Wild HD, Fruits 4 Jackpot HD, Rainbow HD, China Long HD, plus the online version of two of the most popular AWPs by Baldazzi Styl Art, Night Vampire HD and Angeli e Demoni25 HD.

“We were the first to release the online version of one of most successful land-based slots, Xcalibur HD by Magic Dreams, which was shortly followed by a further eight titles out of their best-sellers,” said Boratto. “In this perspective, one of our objectives for 2016 is to increase the commercial agreements with the operators of the land-based markets.

“On a parallel path, we are going to distribute some of our most popular online slots on the land-based market: we recently signed a new agreement with Baldazzi Styl Art according to which Baldazzi will release the land-based version of three of our most successful titles, the first of which being Book of Pharaon HD.”

Habanero

Habanero has struck a deal to integrate its gaming content to casino brands through live dealer supplier Asia Gaming.

The agreement will see a range of slot, table game, and video poker titles go live on sites across Asia, including a host of new games currently in development.

Daniel Long, head of sales at Habanero, said the partnership was strategically important to the company and would provide huge growth opportunities in the New Year.

“We have direct integrations with a number of the leading Asian casino brands who are very keen on our tailored content,” he said. “But the deal with Asia Gaming significantly expands that number at a stroke.

“Given the number of players they have, they are probably the world’s biggest supplier of live dealer and are highly-respected not only for their integrity but for their innovation. This is a game-changer for Habanero.”

A spokesperson for Asia Gaming said: “We have made our name across Asia by providing live dealer opportunities to online casino, but we are gaining more and more traction with slots too, as the next generation of customers seek entertainment on their mobile and lap-top devices.

“We are developing much of that content in-house, but we are also very happy to consider selective content from good third parties like Habanero. We’ve been very impressed with the performance of their games and their ability to appeal to players across Asia. It is a perfect fit.”
