London-listed operator GVC Holdings has rolled out a new Christmas-themed slot exclusively for Danske Licens Spil to coincide with the holiday season.
Nisseautomaten, which translates as Elf Slot, is a five-reel game that features Christmas elves in a festive setting. The HTML5 game is available for desktop and mobile play, and includes a range of special features including a bonus round that sees players attempt to guide the elves through a mysterious forest, aided by a magical glowing reindeer.
GVC inherited the supplier arrangement that was originally signed between bwin.party and Danske Spil in 2012, via its acquistion of bwin.party earlier this year. The agreement was extended to 2019 in October last year.
Nisseautomaten becomes the latest title to be rolled out by GVC for Danske Licens Spil, with previous launches including a game based on pop bands Aqua, DAD and Shu-bi-dau, as well as Danish films such as Olsen Banden and hit TV sitcom Klovn.
"Nisseautomaten is another great exclusive game that GVC has developed for Danske Licens Spil," the operator's head of gaming Søren Schneider said.
"These games allow us to offer our customers something totally unique in the Danish market and are amongst our most popular titles. We will continue to differentiate us in the market with unique and local content."
GVC chief operating officer Shay Segev added: "It is our objective to supply our partners with not just the best platform in the industry, but also to provide them with the best content. Nisseautomaten is the latest in a line of exclusive, quality gaming content that we have built for Danske Spil and we believe it's a Christmas cracker."
