Casino operator Genting UK is aiming to boost player interest in slot games through casino "education application" SlotGuru.

The imminent first-phase deployment of the SlotGuru app promises to provide Genting customers with the information needed to find games suited to their gameplay style.

"The use of mobile technology to help players better engage with slots is a win for players, operators and manufactures alike," SlotGuru founder and director Stuart Armstrong said.

"We are delighted to be partnering with a progressive and forward-thinking company, such as Genting, who can see how transformative the process of educating & empowering their players can be to all concerned."

SlotGuru aims to help players identify key slot features that appeal to them by offering information usually withheld from customers, such as volatility levels of games.

Without this information, players have to test each and every game to see which they enjoy playing, but with the data they can search the app for titles that share features, volatility and themes, the company said.

"Having access to this information will ensure our players can easily make effective and informed decisions as to the slots they choose to play," added Genting UK managing director Mark Sergeant.

"Player education is at the heart of building a responsible gaming environment, and we believe SlotGuru is the perfect tool to help our customers build the best possible engagement with slots."
