Microgaming has secured its first customer in Colombia's regulated online gaming market, agreeing a deal with Aquila Global Group's Wplay.co brand.

The deal will see Wplay offer a range of popular Microgaming casino games via the Quickfire open platform, including roulette and a number of slot games.

Wplay became the first operator licensed by Colombian gambling regulator Coljuegos in June this year.

The Microgaming content is due to go live on Wplay in the coming months, expanding the site's content beyond sports betting for the first time.

Microgaming's director of Quickfire Andrew Clucas commented: "Signing Wplay.co is a significant step for Quickfire as we look to make an impact in the Latin American market.

"As the first operator to be granted a gaming license in Colombia, our games will be some of the first to go live in the market, which is undoubtedly a strategic advantage. We look forward to a long and successful relationship with Wplay.co as we both aim to expand our presence in the region."
