Casino games developer Yggdrasil is making its first move into the regulated Danish gaming market with Jackpotjoy Group.

Yggdrasil will supply its full portfolio of games to Jackpotjoy's Vera&John and InterCasino brands in Denmark, alongside its popular in-game promotional tools.

"We are committed to growing our footprint in Europe's regulated markets, so it was a logical next step for us to enter Denmark with Vera&John and InterCasino," Yggdrasil chief executive Fredrik Elmqvist said.

"The market is close to key Nordic territories so we expect our product to be quickly welcomed by players."

The company added that it has received strong interest for its products in Denmark, where many existing Yggdrasil customers are already licensed.

Commenting on the agreement, Jackpotjoy head of gaming Victor Olinger said: "Yggdrasil slots are enjoyed by players across Europe’s regulated markets, so it is a major coup to be the first to agree to bring these titles to Denmark. We always strive to offer the very best collection of games available to our players and adding the Yggdrasil portfolio really underlines that commitment."

Shares in Jackpotjoy Group plc (Co.Data) (LSE:JPJ) were trading up 0.61 per cent at their 52-week high of 825.00 pence per share in London Friday morning.
