Stormcraft Studios has been unveiled as the newest independent game studio to supply exclusive content to Isle of Man-based iGaming provider Microgaming.

Fortunium, first unveiled at ICE Totally Gaming in February, will be the first official game release by Stormcraft Studios, and made available to Microgaming operators today (June 20th).

The game is a five-by-five reel slot, set in the steampunk metropolis of Fortunium. It offers big wins across multiple lines through its Mystery Symbols, which can reveal a random wild, low or high symbol. These can be upgraded using the Win Booster device, which increases the player's wager by 50 per cent when activated, turning the Mystery Symbols into only high or wild symbols.

Boosted Mystery Symbols carry over into the free spins mode, which can also contain up to three Mystery Reels. These special reels are loaded with even more Mystery Symbols, and landing scatters during free spins mode will extend the round.

"Entertainment and craftsmanship are at the core of everything we do at Stormcraft Studios," said Terence Igesund, creative director at Stormcraft Studios. "The careful consideration we give the user experience will be unmistakable in all the upcoming games that we are developing exclusively for Microgaming."

Microgaming said that the new studio had decades of industry experience and commercial success, with its staff having previously worked at the supplier, developing popular titles such as Mega Moolah and Immortal Romance.

"It is exciting to be working with some of the industry legends behind a number of Microgaming’s biggest titles to deliver a fresh wave of content under the new Stormcraft Studios brand," said Microgaming games publisher David Reynolds.

"The team's passion for quality and creating premium gaming experiences is distinctive in everything they do. We cannot wait to unveil the exclusive content they have in store in the next few months."

Microgaming first announced that it would start working with a new generation of independent game builders in February, with Triple Edge Studios the first to be announced as exclusive an provider to the supplier.
