About the role

We are looking to hire a Senior Manager Legal Affairs to join our London based Corporate & Legal Affairs team for an exciting and varied role. You will be responsible for managing various issues related to UK law including commercial agreements and corporate governance. You will also consult closely and strategically with our fast-paced business development teams supporting the international growth agenda of the company and its subsidiaries. You will report into the Head of Legal Affairs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage various types of internal and external legal queries related to UK and international commercial law
  • Negotiate and review commercial agreements including service agreements, licensing agreements and technology agreements
  • Advise and support on legal matters related to international business development projects (new markets, new products)
  • Advise and support on company law matters and manage requirements by Companies House
  • Provide advice and support on IP matters including patents, copyrights, trademarks and registrations
  • Advise and support on regulatory matters and good governance, working closely with the compliance team
  • Manage a small UK Legal Affairs team (1 FTE)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A minimum of 6 years PQE experience. A mix of commercial and private practice experience would be preferred
  • A strong preference for professional experience in the gambling sector though we will also consider experience in a disruptive online / digital industry
  • Native English speaker or similar high level of English proficiency
  • Experience in the following fields:
    • Commercial Law
    • Contract Law
    • Company Law Competition Law
    • Gambling Law
  • Ability to work in fast moving environment
  • Strong solution driven attitude
  • Leadership skills: this means the ability to work independently, organise a small team, develop individuals, prioritise tasks effectively and be able to make informed decisions
  • Ability to work and communicate cross border with international colleagues

Remuneration Package

In addition to a great culture and competitive salary the package offers;

  • Annual performance related bonus of 10% for achieving targets (30% company related, 70% personal performance driven)
