Online payment provider Skrill has enhanced its product portfolio with the acquisition of Austrian prepaid voucher provider paysafecard.com Wertkarten AG for a total consideration of up to €140m.
In what the company describes as the biggest deal in its history, Skrill (formerly Moneybookers) said that the strategic acquisition will transform the company’s offering for both merchants and end-users by combining its digital wallet service with prepaid solutions available in 31 countries.
