Connecticut will likely be among the US states that launch online gaming following a positive public hearing in the state capital of Hartford yesterday (February 2), but appears willing to take its time on the matter.

The Public Safety Committee Informational Hearing on Online Gaming is just the first step in the legislative process but the warm atmosphere created by all those giving testimony and the listening Republicans and Democrats augers well for a positive outcome.

Democrat State Representative Ed Jutila concluded: “Having listened to the tribes’ testimony and [the CEO of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation Anne Noble] I think we are all in this together.”
