Spain’s national lottery operator SELAE has been given the green light to launch a fixed-odds sports betting service at its retail locations across the country and online.
The move follows a period of declining revenues from the state lottery’s pool betting products, which now face competition from online operators and the licensing of land-based operators by a number of Spain’s autonomous regions.
