Facebook closes illegal gaming operators’ pages in Norway

Facebook in Norway has removed pages belonging to unlicensed gaming operators following a request from the Norwegian Gaming Authority.

 The Gaming Authority (Lotteri- og stiftelsestilsynet) said that the prohibition of illegal advertising by unlicensed foreign operators was an “important task” for the regulator, after confirming that it had submitted twenty examples of Facebook pages which it believed to be in breach of the country’s gaming laws.
