The government of the German state of Lower Saxony is leading efforts to block financial transactions to gambling companies that continue to operate in the country while the controversial process to award twenty 20 sports betting licences drags on.
Targeted primarily at poker and casino operators, the initiative has been launched after operators allegedly ignored prohibition orders sent to them by state governments.
