The UK’s Association of British Bookmakers said Wednesday that the introduction of a Racing Right will be "unworkable" and warned that it will leave British racing seriously underfunded for a number of years.
UK Chancellor George Osborne used his budget speech Wednesday to announced the introduction of the Racing Right which will see bookmakers pay for the right to accept bets on British racing from UK customers. It will be administered directly by the racing industry.
