Representatives of the two allies of the "middle way" of controlling the gaming sector €“ France and Italy €“ came together on April 9th to discuss the appeal of the format, the issue of sporting rights, and to debate the imminent "controlled opening" of the French market based on the Italian model.

Apparently the two governments have been in talks since 2008, although it appears that representatives of Italy's "precious ally" have not necessarily taken on board all of the advice given to them by their neighbours.
