West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey has concluded that its state laws do not prohibit the offering of real-money fantasy sports games, as they are determined predominantly by skill, knowledge and athletic performance.
The AG’s opinion came in response to a request from Senate President William Cole about whether offering or participating in certain fantasy sports games (as defined by Senate Bill 529) was legal in West Virginia.
