French tennis player suspended for betting-related offences

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) has suspended French professional tennis player Constant Lestienne for seven months and fined him US$10,000 after he admitted to betting related offences.

An investigation led by the Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU) and supported with information provided by French online gambling regulator (ARJEL) found that between February 2012 and June 2015, Lestienne placed bets on 220 tennis matches through online accounts with operators Betclic and PMU.
