Crown Resorts shares slump as 18 employees detained in China

Sydney-listed casino operator Crown Resorts has seen its share price fall significantly after authorities arrested 18 of its sales and marketing employees in China.

The 18 employees arrested are understood to include at least three Australian citizens, including the operator's executive vice president for international VIP management Jason O'Connor.

Media reports suggest the employees have been detained over illegal gambling charges, including soliciting Chinese high rollers to gamble in its casinos.
