The European Commission has endorsed the United Kingdom's new Horserace Betting Levy Scheme, which will subject offshore bookmakers to the same levy contributions as UK-based bookmakers.
The European Commission (EC) said Friday that the new levy scheme is in line with EU state aid rules, noting that the measure is essential for the improvement of horse breeding and horseracing.
