Sweden's gambling regulator the Lotteriinspektionen has confirmed that it is aiming to begin the licensing process for online gaming on July 1st.
Lotteriinspektionen director general Camilla Rosenberg said that the regulator is in the midst of a "hectic period" as it prepares itself for the licensing process.
This includes expanding its workforce by 50 per cent to manage the workload, as well as the introduction of new internal processes and IT systems.
