New gaming legislation has been introduced in the Maltese Parliament to strengthen the Malta Gaming Authority's (MGA) compliance and enforcement functions, as well as simplifying the country's existing multi-licence system.
The bill was presented in Parliament Tuesday for a first reading by Silvio Schembri, parliamentary secretary for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation. It seeks to repeal all existing legislation and replace it with a singular primary Act of Parliament.
