Belgian authorities have carried out a series of raids at football clubs and private homes across the country following allegations of fraud and match-fixing.
The raids were part of an investigation by the federal prosecutor’s office. Belgian police searched 44 locations Wednesday, including several leading football clubs and homes owned by club directors, player agents and referees, among others.
