The Michigan Lottery has launched a new instant-win lottery product from Pollard Banknote which is linked to an online and mobile app to give players a second chance to win prizes.

The original Wild Time scratchcard was launched more than twenty years ago, with the new version, $5 Diamond Wild Time, rolled out earlier this month. It is available for Android devices via the Google Play store, and iPad and iPhone versions through Apple’s App Store.

The Wild Time app allows players to play a free-play variant of the game, or participate in a second chance promotion. By entering losing tickets into the app players can win reward points for the lottery’s loyalty scheme Players Club, or win instant game cash coupons, redeemable at any lottery retailer.

The app was developed by Pollard Banknote, which provides ticket printing and other services to the lottery, and will provide online lottery services in partnership with NeoGames.

The second-chance feature is already available for a number of lottery products, including its Cashword and Bingo games.

Pollard Banktnote’s co-chief executive Doug Pollard said the launch of Diamond Wild Time was “the latest in the lottery's continuing effort to provide players with the very best products that this industry has to offer.”

“Based on the incredible success the lottery has experienced with its Cashword and Bingo apps, we are confident that players and retailers in Michigan will respond just as enthusiastically to the increased playability of this popular game,” he added.

Chief deputy commissioner of the Michigan Lottery Tom Weber commented: “This fun, new app gives users more chances to play and win, and allows potential players to familiarize themselves with the popular Wild Time brand by providing the option to play for fun.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with Pollard Banknote to leverage current technology and develop more of these groundbreaking products for our players to enjoy, which ultimately benefits the state of Michigan,” Weber added.
