Legislation to block the online sale of lottery games received final approval from the Minnesota Legislature Thursday, with Governor Mark Dayton allowing the bill to become law without his signature.
It is the second year running that the bill cleared both the Senate and the House, although last year’s attempt was vetoed by Governor Dayton.
The bill, SF229, bans casino-style games played at petrol stations, ATM machines, and instant win games via the internet.
