The Illinois Lottery will pull the plug on multi-state lottery games next week unless lawmakers are able to reach a deal on the state budget.

The lottery says it will suspend sales of PowerBall on June 28th and MegaMillions on June 30th, if the state is unable to agree a budget for fiscal year 2018. This is due to rules that require participating lotteries to have appropriations in place to pay out winnings on multi-state games.
