China’s lottery market enjoyed a strong start to the second quarter of the year with total sales climbing 6 per cent to RMB41.71bn (€5.5bn) in April.

This marked the second consecutive month of year-on-year growth following a 9 per cent decline in February, with both the Welfare Lottery and Sports Lottery seeing improvements versus a year ago.
