Gauselmann Group subsidiary Cashpoint has expanded its licensed betting office estate in Austria with the acquisition of Wettpunkt Group.
Wettpunkt has been active in Austria for more than 30 years and its acquisition gives Cashpoint access to approximately 100 new betting outlets in the country, including 25 in the capital city Vienna.
The acquisition, the terms of which have not been disclosed, establishes Cashpoint as Austria’s second-largest bookmaker behind Novomatic Group's Admiral Sportwetten.
