The European Lotteries Association has called for the prohibition of betting exchanges and spread betting to protect the integrity of sporting events. The proposal is amongst a raft of measures in its Sports Charter which was unanimously agreed by its members. That includes limits on stakes, restrictions on the types of bets and the competitions on which gambling can take place, and that all operators should be required to contribute to the funding of sport [...]
