AGTech & China LotSynergy expand lottery supply services in China

10th March 2014 8:59 am GMT

Chinese lottery suppliers AGTech and China LotSynergy have further expanded their respective operations in the growing Chinese sports lottery market with new deals in the provinces of Hebei, Tianjin and Gansu.

AGTech’s wholly-owned subsidiary Beijing AGTech GOT Technology Co. Ltd. (GOT) has won two competitive tenders to supply the Sports Lottery Administration Centres of Hebei and Tianjin with sports lottery terminals.

In Hebei, GOT will be supplying its M6 terminals, which it claims is a compact style of lottery and betting terminal, and is new to the China market. It has been developed by GOT to the specifications of the China Sports Lottery for deployment in the current replacement cycle.

GOT claims to be the first compact sports lottery terminal supplier in China following the successful tender, with the company adding that it is a “further milestone “since it sees GOT re-enter a market that it last supplied in 2001.

AGTech chairman and CEO John Sun said: “We are pleased that GOT has started the year with such good news, building on the strong momentum enjoyed last year. We look forward to working with Hebei to deploy our M6 terminals in China for the first time and we are thrilled to once again be partnering with the Tianjing Sports Lottery Administration Centre.

“During the course of this year, we expect to be able to announce more supply contract wins both domestically and internationally.”

AGTech added that the two terminal supply contracts further demonstrates GOT’s “competence and the popularity” of its range of terminal products and professional services, and strengthens its position in China’s sports lottery terminal market.

Last year, Hebei and Tianjin collectively accounted for approximately 7 per cent of all China’s sports lottery sales, according to AGTech.

Meanwhile, rival supplier China LotSynergy has also confirmed a winning tender for theprocurement of lottery terminals for the Gansu Provincial Sports Lottery Administration Centre.

This is the second win for its subsidiary, Guangzhou Lottnal Terminal Company, in the procurement of sports lottery terminals in the province.

The company said that after its first win in the province last year, Lottnal worked closely with authorities to build a robust after-sales service system, laying a solid foundation for further cooperation between the parties.

“Its further win in the procurement of sports lottery terminals in the Province is proof that the group’s technical capabilities, advanced products and quality services are well recognized by customers and the market,” said the company in a statement.

Sales of sports lottery in Gansu have grown rapidly in recent years, hitting new record highs in each of the last three years. Gansu was the fastest growing province in sports lottery in the country in 2013 with total sales amounting to RMB2.2bn, an increase of 91 per cent versus the previous year.

China LotSynergy expects sales of sports lottery products to continue to grow rapidly this year, as a result of a number of international sports events being held during the year.

“The group seeks to become a keen participant in the country’s sports lottery terminal market by pursuing opportunities across all provinces,” said the company.
