Inspired Gaming Group’s virtual sports product has gone live with INTRALOT Italia, the supplier’s eighth partner in the Italian market.

Inspired now supplies over 90 per cent of the land-based and online virtual sports markets in Italy through deals with leading concessionaires including Lottomatica, SNAI, Gamenet, SISAL, and Eurobet, among others.

Its latest deal with INTRALOT will see the operator dedicate one of its two channels to broadcasting Inspired’s library of virtual sports games, including football, horse racing, trotting, tennis, motor racing, speedway, greyhounds and cycling. The channel will be broadcast across 550 locations.

Inspired Italia president Vitaliano Casalone said the company had seen “phenomenal” growth in the Italian market over the last year.

“Our success is largely due to the research we have undertaken to understand the Italian player, and the content that we have developed to address their preferences,” he said. “The breadth of sports and our leadership in Virtual Football makes us a natural choice for Italian concessionaires.

“We are thrilled to announce this launch with Intralot. With our eighth Virtual Sports customer now live in Italy, we are well on our way to our Virtual Sports being live across 10,000 venues in Italy in the near future. We are committed to maintaining our launches in new bet markets and we have a number of innovations in the pipeline, which we will be announcing early next year.”

Shares in Intralot SA (Co. Data) (ASE:INLOT) closed in Athens Wednesday down 6.15 per cent at €1.22 per share.
