Isle of Man-licensed gaming software supplier Microgaming has launched Fun View, a new software feature for its MPN poker network which has been designed to appeal to both casual and experienced poker players.

Fun View is described by Microgaming as the industry’s first poker table designed for widescreen devices, and features high-resolution 3D-rendered graphics, as well as clearer fonts, chips and cards.

Players can now choose from over 100 avatars, including characters from Microgaming’s casino games such as Thunderstruck II, Immortal Romance and Fish Party. It also allows users to set tables to different backgrounds including that of a Las Vegas penthouse, a zen garden and a ‘man cave’.

Microgaming’s head of poker Alex Scott said the supplier had spent a great deal of time preparing to roll out a number of new updates to its software in 2015.

“In 2015 we’ll be revitalising the look and feel of our software across all of our platforms to ensure that players have the best experience possible when they play on the MPN,” Scott said.

Fun View has launched across Betsson Group’s brands, including Betsafe, Betsson, NordicBet and Bets10, in a public beta test with players encouraged to submit feedback to operators for consideration.

“Fun View is a great example of how we work collaboratively with the team at Microgaming to create and develop new software features, and enhance the user experience,” Betsson head of poker Christopher Hirst said of the new features. “We believe Fun View is a great addition to the MPN and we look forward to receiving player feedback over the coming months.”

Once the public beta test is completed, Fun View will be rolled out to all poker rooms on the MPN early in 2015.
