UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has become the latest operator to launch a suite of Inspired-powered virtual sports games for mobile devices.

The supplier has been providing Ladbrokes with virtual sports games since 2005 when it launched the content across its retail estate, with an online roll-out following in 2007. By launching the mobile virtuals, Ladbrokes now offers the games across all channels.

While it did not provide figures, Inspired says that the operator’s virtuals revenue had doubled since it released virtual horse and greyhound racing for mobile devices in May this year.

“I am pleased with the great customer response, it was important to add the Inspired Virtual content to our leading mobile platform, in preparation for our single digital desktop, tablet and mobile experience in July,” Ladbrokes managing director of digital Andy Bagguley commented.

Inspired senior vice president of virtual sports Steve Rogers said that the mobile launch meant that Ladbrokes customers can now access the games on any channel and be guaranteed a "consistent high quality, premium experience."

“We are proud to be leading the gaming sector by creating unique multi-platform Virtual Sports entertainment experiences,” Rogers continued. “Over the last 12 months we have seen a huge rise in the number of players choosing to play by mobile. This is driving significant incremental revenues for our customers.”

Inspired has already launched its virtual sports for a number of leading operators, extending its agreement with Gala Coral to roll out the content for its Eurobet Italia brand earlier this month. It followed this with the roll-out of an omni-channel solution for William Hill, simultaneously broadcasting events across online, mobile and retail venues via Betting Shop TV.
