The chairman of Scottish League Two club Annan Athletic has been charged with placing 4,011 football bets over a six-year period, while a Scottish Premier League footballer has been hit with similar charges.
Henry McClelland, who last week was also elected to Dumfries and Galloway Council representing the Scottish National Party, has been issued with a Notice of Complaint by the Scottish Football Association's compliance officer.
