Danish tabloid newspaper Ekstra Bladet has re-launched its online casino and bingo websites in Denmark through a partnership with gaming solutions provider EveryMatrix.

Consolidating its presence in the growing Nordic iGaming market and its first major deal in Denmark, EveryMatrix confirmed that the newspaper’s licensed gaming sites, Ekstrabladetcasino.dk and Ekstrabladetbingo.dk, had gone live after recently switching to the EveryMatrix platform.

“Following our constant focus on increasing our reach in the Danish regulated market, this new partnership showcases the strength of EveryMatrix products and quality of our software,” said EveryMatrix CEO Ebbe Groes. “Ekstra Bladet is a very strong addition to our client portfolio and our first major brand in the regulated market from Denmark.”

Ekstra Bladet has been active in Denmark since the iGaming market opened in 2012. Through EveryMatrix’s GamMatrix and CasinoEngine solutions, the sites now feature content from the likes of NetEnt, IGT, Play’n Go, Microgaming, NYX, Evolution and Spigo.

“We are very pleased to work with EveryMatrix to have a more modern platform and have one of the platforms on the market with most games,” said Thomas Rydberg, managing director for Ekstra Bladet Spil. “We look forward to grow our business even more with a close partnership with EveryMatrix.”

The Danish tabloid newspaper has been in operations since 1904 and has an estimated circulation of 60,000 copies. Similar to The Sun newspaper in the UK, Ekstra Bladet features a Side 9 Pigen (Page 9 girl), a Danish equivalent of the Page 3 girl.
