UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has been unveiled as the new title sponsor of the PDC's World Series of Darts Finals which takes place later this year in Glasgow, Scotland.
Continuing its support of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), Ladbrokes will return to darts sponsorship this year as title sponsor of the Ladbrokes Sydney Darts Masters in August.
It will also be the title sponsor of the season-ending World Series of Darts Finals, to be held between November 5th and 6th at Glasgow's Braehead Arena in Scotland, and televised live on ITV4.
The Ladbrokes World Series of Darts Finals will see the top eight players in the World Series rankings qualify by right, following the six international events in Dubai, Auckland, Shanghai, Tokyo, Sydney and Perth.
They will be joined by a further 16 qualifiers, who will contest the first round on Saturday November 5th before the top eight seeds enter the action in Saturday evening's second round.
The tournament then concludes on Sunday November 6th, with the quarter-finals in the afternoon session, and the semi-finals and final in the evening session.
Barry Hearn, chairman of the Professional Darts Corporation, said that the organisation was delighted that Ladbrokes would sponsor the World Series of Darts Finals.
"The World Series of Darts is growing year on year, and the inaugural Finals last November was a thrilling tournament which culminated in an outstanding final between Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright.
“Given the ever-increasing standard of darts worldwide, we can look forward with excitement to Novembers tournament and another great weekend of darts in Glasgow."
Kristof Fahy, chief marketing officer for Ladbrokes, said: "We're thrilled to be involved with the PDC once again at an incredibly exciting time for darts.
“We're passionate about sport and we are constantly bolstering our sponsorship portfolio, and the addition of the Ladbrokes World Series of Darts Finals is something we're immensely looking forward to."
